Each of these groups functions in a slightly different way, depending on the age of the children and the requirements of the group.

Generally, groups have a free play time, a snack time, an organised activity and a sing-a-long. Group leaders and mothers take it in turns to make coffee, tea and juice, prepare an activity, clear and wash up the cups, launder tea towels and ensure the toilets are kept clean.

Coffee, tea and biscuits are provided by Robbeburg. Some groups bring fruit to share.

Tidying-up is done by all group members.
At the end of each session, all toys must be returned to their designated places. Paint brushes and pots must be cleaned each time, the tables wiped down and the craft cupboard left tidy for the next group.

The main room, craft room, soft play area, kitchen and hallway must be swept or vacuumed after each session. All rubbish must be disposed of in the large bin outside, and all food and drink put away. The coffee machine and kettle must be unplugged for safety purposes.

Group leaders

Each group elects a Group leader, who is responsible for liaising with the Committee and greeting new members.

The Group leader has a key to the building and ensures that the duty of activity preparation, coffee making and tidying up etc. are shared between members via a rota system.
